i managed to get out on boxing day. the plan was for rainbows.  we got to the lake, and punched out a bunch of holes,  in the 5 foot depth to 25 feet.  we managed 9 nice bows. we kept 3 for a little supper.

here are some pics!

fish were taken on a minnow on a tip-up.  a white tube jig at 12 feet. the others were pieces of worms.

Nice pics Matt  I'll be out at petrie today with your vex if ya want to pick it up   How was the trek into the rainbow lake?  I'm just wondering if I'll be able to bring the ATV for brookie opener. Did the rain firm things up enough to use the quad?

hey len thanks alot for the vex. it's a sweet machine.  thanks man appriciate it!!!  as for tomorow let me know where you are going. i might change my mind last minute.

as for the trails len.  it has compacted the trails abit.  bring your winch just in case.

tip-up2, and fishstick, i think i'll be at walleye bay tomorrow.  i don't plan on getting there early but i'll probably be there unless lens persuades me not too.
