Meadow, those are some great fish and as always you look like you are having a blast. loved all of the salmo. pictures you posted also. You say that the burbot are good eating i've never eaten any. How do you clean them... like a bullhead or can you fillet them? I might try to find a drawing of their skeletal system and maybe get some ideas on cleaning. thanks for posting the pics.

finally got a little nicer day spent most of the day out in the open watching the tip ups. the pike were a little slower than our last time on the same lake but the size was decent 4 pike ranging from 12-15lbs some nice big burbot as well.

wow i wish i could get that big of fish. the state record in MI is like 39 you guys kill that every day i imagine

another good trip in the books lots of burbot ended up with 15 ranging from 5-11lbs. some good pike as well a few under 10lbs but most were over. my best two were 15.5lbs and one just a hair under 18 .
