« on: Dec 12, 2007, 10:54 PM »
We will be back home (PA) the end of the month and are looking for a good place to take the kids out? Thinking about Tobin, Round lake and ?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks in advanced

i had luck by the "beaver dam" on sturgeon, we drove through a field to get there, nailed perch all morning, this was 2 winters ago....careful driving around the beaver dam.

geahead, to get out on the flats take your last grid road headed east before you get to tobin lake resort village, you go on the for a few km's then you get to a dead end i think take a left(headed north) this road curves and heads east out onto the flats.

anglin lake is very good , you can go out near the public boat launch and just to the west of it and in about 6-8 feet of water and usually do okay on the walleye there with a jighead tipped with a minnow.

Gearhead: You can see the road which MeadowPikeMan refers to on this map. The one which runs between the two bodies of water. Doesn't really show it, but there is a left hand turn in there somewhere. Pretty sure the turn is past Tobin Lake Resort. Anyone in town should be able to help ya.  Maybe

walls flats is not the flats where everyone goes for pike, you want to head straight east where that road starts to head north towards walls you come out eastward onto petaigan bay, head 2 or 3 miles northeast out onto petaigan bay, there should be a group of shacks out there.
