OK, hope i'm not boring you all by now
Here is day 3's happenings.
Decided i was gonna get more time out and be on the ice by first light and make a day of it, after all, sandwiches and coffee etc. are only 100 yards away...even thought i might run back and forth to the house and watch Mannchester United ( am English so soccer is our Hockey) as the match was live at 2:30pm here. Well i set the alarm for 7am, i kinda remember it going off and the next thing i remember was waking up at around 10:30am...oh well.
I did get out a bit earlier than of late, and at midday in glorious sunshine and mild temps the lines were down the holes. Within ten minutes the rod with the fattest medium minnow money can buy was trying it's hardest to dissappear down the hole and up came a hard fighting 2' Pike!!
Almost wish i had gone back to the house to watch soccer cuz after the pike there was nothing except a few shy enquiries on both rods until the light started to fade at about 3:30pm, then i got a small walleye and whilst reeling that up my other rod started to go ballistic, luckily as so often happens as i pulled the small one through the hole it magically unhooked itself and i was able to immediately attend to the other rod.....Much Better walleye on that one, around 16", wont ever win the PWT with that but i aint complaining.
