Any safe ice in NW Indiana?

I was wondering if anyone has found any safe ice yet in NW Indiana.  I have looked the last two days but haven't found any yet.   :-[  Has anyone been over by maxi?  The channels should be pretty close if not already.

I was on a small pond in Westville and drilled a hole....1.5" of ice.
Weather looks promising for the weekend, nothing warmer than
34 degrees. I was at Mik Lurch Fishing Tackle Outlet in Hammond
on Saturday and the guys there said the Chain O Lakes near
Fox Valley in Illinois had 4" of ice.

pond around ft wayne had 3 in. im on it tomorrow!!!!

I doubt this rain is helping anything, hopefully it will not freeze and be honey combed
