Fished A-1 today with my buddy Mugz. Only fished for about 4 hours but we iced 30 fish!! 8 in the first 15 minutes and about 14 in the first hour. All bass with the exception of 1 pickerel,1 calico bass,and 1 crappie. Biggest was close to 4 pounds. Great day!! :tipup:

how many inches of ice?....i did a small pond in foxboro after work and only drilled 2 inches...thats not safe for me yett...

Nice day out. I wanted to go out today but I had to take care of the deer I shot yesterday. We have almost 5" here in Western Ma.(((((FLAG))))) :tipup:

There were quite a few groups out there.....maybe 20 people at one point. People were all over the ice as well, including near the spillway (YIKES) in the middle and out by the island.

No jigging saturday. We usually leave that for the specialist like yourself and Mark. I never have much luck jigging and Im amazed when you guys start reeling them in. :tipup:

   I wonder every year why so many people fish the A-1 and chauncey so much.   I've grown up fishing that water and it's a constant steady producer of action but never been a big fish lake for me.  lots of 4-5 lb fish but there are some small waters very close by that have fish easily double that size and remain unfished....I never meet anyone on the ice... :tipup:

     I dont work all winter and live the single life so I fished almost everyday and in two ponds very close to the a-1 we as a group iced prob. 20 fish over 6 lbs., I love company.... I fish alone most weekdays. if anybody local wants to get out just send me a message......
