I have used braid, but I tend to stay away from it now on my gill rods...fireline crystal 1lb is fun but like tying hair.....P-line 2lb ice line is my standard, it is a floro

Another vote for P-Line. Mine is Floroclear in 2 and 4# test. It is helpful to have a few different jigs and lures set up on separate rod and reel combos. Makes changing presentations easy when you have sniffers that won't bite.

I always used 2# and 4# Micro Ice as well. I tend to slam the hooset, therefor I would break the line on anything lighter than 2#. I believe Flouro is really the way to go though, I have just never tried it.

#2 - #6 Micro and fluoro depending on what I am fishing for. I have enough outfits that all I have to do is grab which ever has on it that will work for what I may be fishing for. I've labeled all the spools with the pound test since I have some duplicate rods.

Edit: I missed the question. Most tend to use whatever is spooled on those Schooly poles you guy for 2 bucks at the bait shop. Most also never re-spool.
I used Micro Ice in 2lb and 4lb on my reels but this year I'm switching to Fireline Crystal 2lb. I used Fireline 10lb on my summer reels and loved it, so I wanted try the crystal for winter.
It is not as thin as the 1lb and easier to tie, but still super thin.

We use Ande 4# all around. If we need to change it at the end of the day, or week, then we do. It is a limper line than most, and can handle the constant up and down on the edge of the ice.

Clear Pole Cat 1# mono for me. You have to get used to the light #test and play your fish, use proper drag settings, and retie often. But you will get a lot more strikes with the lighter stuff.
