Low of 28 here today, hopefully early ice this year. I'm thinkin middle/late november I'll be ice fishing

...after deer hunting - I would love to take my ice fishing stuff with me to deer camp like the old days. Nothing like beating the mid-day/mid-week blues like putting out a set of tip ups for a few hours then getting in your stand for the last couple hours of day light.

Heard that in the Wisconsin Rapids to the Wautoma area, about 34 degrees that morning! Lot's of record lows set! 8)

I'll be leaving for Key West on Tuesday.... I'll be gone for a whole week, so do you think it would be a bit much to expect 8 inches of ice by the time I get back?

Lots of cold air blowing around Waupaca, in last couple of days. Ice on the mud puddles, at work today. That usually means, the local land mass is losing heat fast! 8)

Last weekend I was out on a couple of little ponds and the suface temp was 51-53 but that was before this weeks cold. I did see snow in my backyard this morning, it wasn't much but a light dusting, but it means it's getting cold enough.

Ice along the edges of the Neshkoro pond yesterday. Cold last night and no wind today.. I know it's not something that's going to last, but I can dream on. Only two weeks till Thanksgiving and I can recall that many years I was on ice by then.

Spent this weekend in the boat, Sat.-Lake Mich, Sun Okauchee. Water surface temp. still in the 40's
