Decent Gill Fishing for a Blue Bird Day
« on: Feb 14, 2007, 07:28 PM »
Went out fishing today over near North Lake in a small pond. Sharp Dropoffs, took a few holes to find fish, finally found fish near some overhanging brush close to shore in about 6 fow.  Started fishing just off the bottom with a waxxie and teardrop. Slow. Caught One fish. So then I reeled up about a foot below the ice, and BAM! fish on. Fished the first three feet the rest of the evening caught about 20 gills. 12 keepers. 5 REAL NICE ONES! One Warmouth that hit a minnow on a teardrop. Lots of snow on ice. Decent evening overall, I thought. :-X
You may call me crazy, but crazy catches fish!
