he blew his cover if he was but if he kept it alive and brought it in tomorrow it would loose a little weight maybe 1 lb or so.  I wish they would have put up a screen to keep the pike from getting into south pond becasue it really doesnt help the trout fishing out too much.  but thats life.

If you are not going to mount it put it back. That fish is a mature fish for breeding. You need to put back the big ones and selective harvest the leagle beagles those are the ones that are the eaters if you are catching them to eat. That fish is around twenty years old those need to go back for more reproduction.

Massaddiction is right, the only way to preserve the great pike fishing we have in mass is to let the big ones free unless you are going to have it mounted. With the right pics and all measurements needed you don't even need to keep the fish you can have a mold made of your fish and also have the chance to catch that big mamma again next year. Plus she has a chance to spawn another year.(((((FLAG)))))
If fishing was work I'd never be sick!

I wish he kept it and killed it,  i am serious they hurt my tout fishing.  If you let pike go they eat trout like candy bars, and the trout dont have a chance to grow and get big and fat.

Yea that would be fine if they put up some kind of screen to keep them from getting in there.

Yeah but trout ponds also always produce really good pike ponds usually with lunker pike... Also I really don't think it hurts south pond that bad... Peeps are always pulling lunker trout out of there ever year.. + they over stock it anyways... So the candy bar trout get weeded out fer lunkers...

No!....read his post carefully...The LEADER tasted like chicken. Pikehead makes them out of big chicken leg tendons. I've seen him use them at Onota. That's his secret. Nice pike buddy. See you out there.
