Willow Slough

We need to include the slough in condition reports, It's back as a viable fishing hole again. Due to the reconstructive work done to it, fishing should be fair all over. Approximately 3" out from Filbert lane, watch out for snowcover along weeds. Some soft places are still lingering. Five of us caught 40 gills this afternoon, but only 15 keepers. the masses were more at ditchline between refuge and marsh. Can't speculate as to how they were doing, but according to the number of fishermen over there, I'd say someone must be doing pretty good. Some of the gills have pretty good size, but it will probably be at least one more year before the bass reach the minimun 18" size requirement, with any regularity. Happy fishing, Coondog
