Pond Ice Fishing

 What is the best lure to use when fishing for bluegill or bass on ponds? ??? ???
When Hell freezes over i'll ice fish there too.>:D

The smallest one in the box! Doesn't seem to matter color or style as much as size here.

 Try a ice jig with 6 spikes on it,or a jig tipped with waxworms.Chartreuse jig or orange/glow or green glow.Or put a couple of tip ups :tipup: out with bass minnows on them bud ,that should work for you ,good luck bud.

I ALSO LIKE TO USE A GLOW JIG WITH WAXWORMS SOMETIMES I BUT A SMALL FATHEAD MINNOW ON THE JIG

My experience with small ponds - those gills and sunnies will bite on whatever you throw down there - go smaller (they gotta fit it in their mouths) and tip with any various live bait - I hit my folks' farm pond recently, found a few beetle grubs under some rocks, threw 'em on a small teardrop, and slaughtered them.......

I just started using diamond jigs this year for the gills. They are the best I have found b/c they are tiny but heavy so you can feel them when your jigging but the fish have no problem getting them in their mouths.
