« on: Jan 23, 2007, 08:52 AM »
anyone have a secret on keeping wigglers alive for more than a week? I change the water at least once a day but still losing a few each day. Would an aerator/bubbler help? ???

What are wigglers? Are they some type of minnow or worms?

I keep mine in the fridge, lower rack... keep the water shallow and changed daily. You can try using a larger pan if you have a large numbers of them. Seems pretty normal to loose a couple everyday no matter what I try.

I keep mine in the bottom of the fridge in a big Styrofoam cooler, that seem's to work excellent. And change the water once a week.

I found that bottled water (spring) really helps. My city water has chlorine in it and after 4-5 days i loose 60 perct. spring water just a few.
Lack of planning on your part in NO way constitutes an EMERGENCY on mine
