without trekking out to the garage and digging out my lakers, here's my advice:
- put just a few wraps of line on, then set the tipup.
- test to see if pulling the line springs the trap.
- if it works, repeat a few times to be sure.
- if not, wrap it the other way.
- once you've got it right, load the spool.
