WIll we have ice??

If the weather does what it should, stay in the teens and low 20's, will we have ice on the smaller lakes near the 1000 islands??  It says there will be a few days in the single digits and neg. temps too!!!  Lets hope for the best!!!  Good Luck to all and Happy Ice fishing!!!

I am no ice engineer but that sounds like ice maken weather to me! Make sure you bring the liquid gold!

OK so the warm weather should be gone, so the ice should be a forming!!!  Coming up near Theresa on Friday.  Anyone up there let us know the ice situation, we are keeping our fingers crossed!!!!! ??? ???

I had to postpone 4 day trip to red lake due to this warm weather trying for last week of Jan.Anyone in area please keep us posted. :tipup:Praying for hard water :tipup:

Maybe Ill have time today to run around to a couple lakes today. It rained last night at 40*, but starting now it will be cold for a while

Just got back from a little drive

Red Lake has just started to skim at the edge  about a foot or two out. Not good.

Moon Lake is skimmed all except the middle as viewed from the state launches on red and moon.

Hopefully Moon will be safe within a week or so.....

whats up percheyes madbomber said you were around on this site.we're just hangin in there waiting for good ice.I see theres some dudes from the great north who are watching conditions up there for us much apreciated keep us updated.we were discussing last night maybe staying at camp and hitting some other spots if red doesnt ice up soon.keepin touch
