Will there be safe ice next weekend?

If we can get a calm, cold night early next week and get some ice started...I think it's very possible.  I'm seeing several days below freezing starting Sunday night the 14th.  I'm actually planning what bodies of water I'll check first.

I know I am excited!  I think I am a going to start emptying my ice cube tray into the pond as fast as it will make them just to help it out a little!!!  LOL

I just looked at the forecat.  It is suppose to get colder but not cold enough.  Lows in the twenties highs in the mid to lower 30's.  At that rate it will take forever to get ice.  I hope that it gets colder.  I am sick of not ice fishing.

I just saw the South Bend forecast.  Nothing above 28 and lows in the teens.  Get your stuff ready!!!!!!

A guy from work and myself have made plans to go on Monday, hopefully we will find something.  Depending upon the forecast you look at, all the temps for the next 15 days are below freezing here in Fort Wayne, and even colder further north up towards Angola.

Howdy all from LaPorte
My first posting this year... cause there's been no ice whatsoever up here 10 mi. South of Lake Mich. since skim-ice in Nov.!! However, the extended forcast is good and my rule has always been 2 weeks of freezing or below and we'll be out there! You Ft. Wayners sound awful confident. Maybe I'll be out there sooner than I think.
