rig up an elan

I just rebuilt a 1971 skidoo elan.  It looks like it came off the showroom floor. 
It is no Tundra, but it is small and light.
I am interested in equipping it for ice fishing.  Any thoughts?
maybe a basket off the back, etc

I have a 1974 elan in good condition im thinking about building a compartment about 4 to 6 inches deep the full length of seat. to use for jigging rods,tip ups ect put a latch on side with or with out lock.
