1st skunk of "07"

Well,I got the first skunk of the new year out of the way fairly quickly this year.7 am -2 pm in a nice steady rain without even a flag.At least i got to watch olbluu catch a couple of trout

you weren't alone buddah....9 - 3:30 at worthley without a flag, but watched a guy ice a beauty 18" - 2.5 lb. brookie on a jig pole!!  all I can say is that it was great to be out there.

Buddah where did you get skunked

i hear ya. i didnt get to go out yesterday but drove around this morning for about 4 hours looking for a small pond with safe ice.  i thought that i too would be skunked but managed to pull a small pickerel out of the ice just before i had to start packing up to bring my girlfriend to work. talk about winning it at the buzzer

I can't reveal a hot spot like that over the net,I mean how many places can you go and fish all day without even having to get up to chase a single flag.Olbluu was jealous as hell,he actually had to unhook brookies and browns and re-bait his traps and all that crap.
