One of my old time fishing friends and I banter back and forth about how the other can't catch, busting balls and whatnot, he moved to Florida a while back and this summer I was on the phone with him when I caught a nice smallmouth, he said, "Isn't is amazing how they can put themsleves on the hook like that!" I thought it was funny.

Back in the old days when we were kids and new rapala was a big deal and we were pickeral fishing--my older brother would always remind us to check our line after we caught a few-by saying---RE-TIE IT OR RE-BUY IT-still gets a laugh from me today

When we see a bunch of people fishing the same area we call it '' a fishtrap"" because most of the time those are the people that cant find there own fish. most of the time only a couple people are actually catching

okay, this one isnt a "fishing" quote, but fish are mentioned. a buddy was talking about his wife who couldn' t get enough "quality time" and he says- "she's hornier than a pail full of bullheads!" how it burned when the beer came shooting out of my nose...

I know this thread is old, but had a good one to add. My uncle and I were loading his boat at the launch and overheard a guy on a cell phone telling his buddy, "yeah, we coulda done better, but we didn't". We laughed about it all the way home, yeah we coulda fished the lake out too, but we didn't!
