This page has been updated a couple times today and the forecast keeps getting colder.
http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=14466

This is the general area of Honeoye Lake.  Lots of highs in the 20s and lows in the mid 20s to 15 below.
The better news is it usually gets about 5 degrees colder at night than they say.  I live right near the lake.

Pray for no snow and little wind

Maybe we will be out there in 10 days or so.

West Side.

We shall see.  Like I say, lows in the mid to low 20s usually means lows in the high to mid teens.
Then I see next weekend it is supposed to be in the 20s onle on Sunday with lows in the 15-20 range
which should mean lows in the 10-15 range.  Hopefully it will have a coat by then with no snow on it.

We'll see

They keep playing with the forecast.  It kept getting colder & colder and now it is getting warmer and warmer.  Now they are calling for 40s Friday and Saturday and 30s for Sunday  :-\

I don't know what forcast you guys are looking at but this morning Accuweather is calling for daily highs in the low 40s or upper 30s and lows in the 20s.They have 1 low at 16.This is for Delaware County NY. The forcast runs until Jan.9th. At this rate there will be no fishable ice until the end of January,if then ! It looks like,in my area at least,it will be a very brief ice fishing season.

Iceboy,I'm in Hancock at the junction of route 97 and 17. The East Branch of the Delaware looks like it's ready for trout fishing.

Slipbob, I just put a boat on the Cannonsville this past summer. I'm just starting to learn how to fish it.I'll be spending lots of time on it this spring.

The NOAA's Climate Prediction Center has a bleak outlook, unless you're trying to save on the heat bill.  Here's the latest - you can look at all predictions up to 3 months just by moving the mouse around the screen.  They make changes on Thursdays and the last day of the month.

I was thinking about putting some dock floats under the shanty and setting sail on Lake Tanglefoot.
