High Tide,

That is a BEAST, congrats.  Jigging or tip up?
Jiggin... I hope to catch one more in my life, it was a great day as you can see by the look on my face, and I'll never forget it.

If I had a lake that consistently produced those type of monsters, I would take you, but that one was just being in the right place at the right time... god was definitely with me that day.  After she spent a night in the bait shop minnow live well, I let her go... gotta keep those genes going for some other lucky S.O.B... hopefully me, again  ;).  I would be just as happy to have our ice back.

My biggest Crappie to date. Caught May of last year with a fly rod.

Caught another one close to the same size a few minutes later

Sorry, no size comparison other than my head.

Dam guys, great fish.  My biggest was 15" jigging with an ice pole on the end of a dock in late summer.  Nobody was with me so I don't have a pic. My biggest one ice fishing is only around 13"

Some day, before I die, I'd like to catch a 16+ inch crappie.  In Illinois that's quite a goal.
