Can you hook up a Coleman propane lantern to refillable bottles and if so do you need an additional regulator?
I'd like to cut down on the throw away bottles.
5 inches of ice on Balsam and Sand Lakes in Polk County. Fish on!!!

thanks,
w.

I have done this.  Just need the hose to connect the two together.

The one on the lantern is fine, I use the hose for both my lantern and my coleman stove. No extra reg. needed

No regulator needed, I made a little manifold that I can hook my lantern , which I made a stand for since you do not have the bottle to stand on, or you can hang the lantern from something. on the other outlet I run my propane heater that is normally on the 20# bottle, I now mount the heater on the back wall of my icehouse, and the third I can use for my Coleman cook stove. set me back around 25 bucks. Picked up every thing at Cenex Hardware. The 20# bottle sets out back of my shack and I have more room inside ;D
Even a bad day fishing beats a good day at work.

They make a "T" bar adapter that allows you to hook both the Mr Heater and/or lantern right to the big tank.  You can get a solid adapter as well, so that the lantern doesn't need a stand.  I ditched the lantern this year and went with a LED head lamp instead.
