hey big, I pulled up my 3 traps today after lettin them soak for 2 days an all I had was about 15-20 tadpoles in each trap an not 1 shiner.  This same exact spot 2 weeks ago gave me 53 shiners in 1 day what is goin on with these tadpoles?
How are the edges ?

i think the worst thing would be you throw the tadpole down the hole and when you bring it up its a frog  ;D

We use tadpoles around here for cats and bass once in a while craps will hit them as far as it goes as for them still being around I have a sink hole outside of town that is full of tadpoles year around i think some of them never get out of that stage have caught some 5-6" outta there Them big ones would prolly work for pike too!

Whisper 60 is the model...   it's a 60 gallon per hour unit...  you can run it with or without filters in it..... ;)

I try to keep mine about 35-45 degrees..  in the summer you may need to float bottles of ice to keep it cool..  if you have a good balance of filtration and aeration you should be able to keep the water cool...  also having a cooler darker location helps.... ;)

I figure it is a lot cheaper than buying those filter pads all the time   I also saw that the local bait shop uses pieces of regular home insulation as part of its filtration    I may start up another tank with a few of the fish I can spare   and see if that would hurt them or not I don't want to take a chance at killing off 750 of them little buggers
