What is with all the pictures of rock bass?  Am I missing something?

What does MIRC stand for anyway? 

And I understand that the point is that, even on a bad day, the Rock Bass will save you from being skunked?

We love all things Rock Bass and have addopted it as our mascot.

Michigan Invitational RockBass Club

or

Michigan Icefishing Rockbass Challenge since none of us have iced a winter rock bass.
Stop in the MIRC shanty and check out the madness.  8)

LOL you guys are WAAAY over thinking this. its just a fun little thing we got goin. whats the point of being crazy if you cant have fun with it. LOL.

yankem..your on team mich...you live here. mirc is another thing all together.   the state team/provencial team thing is for the side tourney, which usually is an offshot of the main IceShanty tourney they have every year. the side tourney usually is which state/province produces the most tourney worthy fish, if me you and pike master sweep a catagory, then mich would get 3 points for first, 2 for second 1 for first . we would have 6 points...vs whatever any other place does. no prizes for the side tourney other then what you get from the main tourney ...just braggen rights. that is all.

Oh, LOL  :D...I thought maybe you guys had your own chat thing going on...MIRC is a very popular IRC (internet relay chat) Client.  Of course Michigan Invitational RockBass Club makes a lot more sense.  ::)

haha that would be kind of funny, I did get a decent one last year, at about 8 inches. That was my biggest throught the ice ever

But why are you getting 4 pts for first(3+1), and no points for third????

Oh, & I caught two in one day two years ago...on tip-ups no less.  Combined they may have been 8-9 inches...not impressive, but iced.  The only two fish I caught that day.

So your you guys having a little tourney this winter for a rockbass?  ;D
I've gotten a few up at camp on the ice before.
Found a nice little hump 20 FOW with 30 FOW around it, the size of about a kitchen table and right at dark, we got a few rockies.  ;D

yes we understand the rockbass is a very complicated species to understand. We have had years of training and countless hours studying them :P
