BEST WAY TO FISH FOR EARLY ICE EYE'S

as a newbie to the ice fishing for walleye's i was looking to get some suggestions on where and how to fish for early ice eyes.
IF YOUR NOT GOING TO EAT IT DON'T KEEP IT !

Look for steep drop off's near shallow flats or sunken islands. Start your run of tip up's from 30' to about 8' depth range. They should be in the same areas that they were in in the late fall just moving a bit slower and holding a bit deeper until dark.

Listen to the Hali-man, if you want early ice eye's you need to find them in the fall, mark your spots and go back come first ice they should still be there.

its not easy...you have to be smart...be aware of time of day and dont just fish one hole...hole hop the whole day so you have a higher chance of running into a school
