Strikemaster 40v with k-drill
« on: Jan 15, 2024, 08:59 AM »
Anyone running a k-drill on a 40v head?  I fish a lot of dirty ice that wrecks the shaver blades in a hurry.  Any harm running the chipper drill on the 40v?

Chipper blades need more power ...so off the batt your hole count will be significantly cut .,,as will battery life .Should work . Having an extra set of blades is good insurance no matter what style your auger of choice you uses .

I have the 40V with the shaver blades.  I have wondered this myself because I still have an old Mag 2000 gasser with the chipper bit.  They are both interchangeable, as Strikemaster never changed that.  I have never felt the need to try it because our lakes haven’t gotten sandy in a few years.  I didn’t think about the chipper needing more battery power.  If I do try it, I’ll let ya know how it works.
