Lake George question

Has anyone heard any further news on the disease that was found on most panfish, especially perch? There were bloody lesions on the fillets. They had a scientific name for it that I can't recall. It was supposed to be very contagious to the fish population, but being there wasn't any ice on the lake last year haven't heard any more.

Not aware of any panfish disease. All my perch fillets been clean.

fished the lake for over 20 years and never heard or saw of such a thing. not saying rare things can't happen it is a 32 mile long lake, but I have not seen it.

Yes not really any ice last year but went out on a boat and caught a lot of perch with none having any of that.

Go to search in the upper right corner and type in VHS found in fish in Lake George (Viral Hemmorrhagic Septicemia). I knew I read it somewhere!
