I'm the same way Rutt, except mine has to do with whether or not I put deodorant on.  I usually know by the end of the day.....

Two weeks ago, I grabbed what I thought was my green and white roll-on deodorant bottle from the sink and put it on. About three minutes later I was on fire; it was a similar looking bottle of BioFreeze. My wife shook her head, and I thought I’m only 62 and it’s only going to get worse.

I drove by the pack a week or so ago and from what I saw it was open water, but it's a big lake. I don't know if some of the coves might be frozen but from what I could see, it was open still for the most part.

Things tend to go sideways when you’re around Spider! In fact, weren’t you one of the so called “trouble makers” that got kicked off that OTHER site?! 😜

But seriously............. ...from my scouting the last couple days it appears the lakes and coves that are protected from the west winds have ice. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sterling has ice. Not sure how thick if there is any, but could be building-might be worth a short drive. The ice was popping and groaning all morning and holes were icing over at Snow Shanty. Was 31* when I left Promised Land at noon.................

nope. I left and closed the door. I saw how it was early on.

I don't mess around with thin ice at the Pack. It's deep, and it's a long way down if you go through without a float suit.

Hey spider and anyone else it may concern.
 When you post (you'll need a boat, )You can think of many ways you might need a boat.  You could need a boat to get to the ice you could need a boat because there's very little ice you could need a boat because there's no ice it would be really helpful to clarify what you would need a boat for. As boatman hahaha this concerns me so please don't post you'll need a boat by itself. Thank you
