We drove from CNY to our place in Wilmington yesterday - Drove by White Lake, Otter Lake, Fulton Chain, 7th, Raquette, Blue, Long, horseshoe,, Tupper and Saranac Lakes - with the exception of Raquette I wouldn’t walk on any of them, especially if your bringing your son - ice is thin and open water observed on many … there are of course ponds around that are walkable, but I’m just commenting on what I saw on the ride …. There is some snow, couple of inches, more in different spots as you head north of Long ….. good luck and be safe !!
Someone posted a follow up on one of the FB pages saying the guy who went in eventually self-rescued when emergency responders couldn’t get to him.[/quot Can't imagine why the emergency crews had a tough time as there were no reports of bad weather My nephew lives in Wells and he said nothing there
Abanakee has 6-8 inches. East side of Indian up north has 8-10, and about 8 inches on west side. 6-8 inches southern end near campsite.
Have thought about Abenakee many times but have just not made it yet. I'm not much of a pike guy, is there any thing else in there worth while, How's the perch-panfish population
