Ice clothing storage
« on: Jan 08, 2023, 10:24 AM »
I made this set up a few years back for "in service";clothing and boots to let them dry and keep them organized, boots go on  Peet boot dryer before going on the rack

The rack is 1.25" sch 80 pvc, it holds bibs and jacket a pair of gloves or mitts as well as a pair of boots, other shoes boots can be stored there as well.

Nice set up, keeping organized is key! How do you like your striker bib? I’m looking for something new. I have the carhartt angler series but is really more for open water rainy days.  keeps me dry but isn’t the warmest on the cold days.

Always thinking Joe! I can’t lie, hardly looked at the set up once I saw those plugs though, it’s a sickness.

Grwat post though, far cry from the garbage I post this time of year  ;D

Love it! I need to find a Pink Tiger stripe esque white belly walk the dog type bait and I’ll be in heaven.

Yes, loved how the Sitka Hudson Bibs performed last week, we are all different though. They work for my style perfectly

This top bait ( which I’ve caught a ton on in the river here in spring) with the stripe and gold belly of the bottom one but a pink body would be mayhem here.

You might know the guy who made these?  ;D

Nice setup Joe. Same here, my focus immediately went to what's on that perdy wall behind...then to the gear rack.

Nice post. I immediately hang my gear and boots go on the dryer asap. Everything gets hung up.  Nice striper plugs.

Same here - quick look at the rack (have the same bibs - though I'd need more PVC) and then a lot of plug admiration.
I have been there once, Joe was nice enough to gift me some plugs to pay forward - it is impressive.

Frank - those wouldn't be shanty event raffle prizes that the cranky SOB was nice enough to donate to Keith's raffle would they?

Great post Joe - thanks for filling some ice-less hours while I am away from NH

Those 2 were not from the raffle, though I do indeed have a few from said raffle

I am sure they all fish as well as they look good. I would definitely be checking my knots before throwing one if these - would hurt to see that flying away on a cast.

i remember that you tried to pound the concept that different Tackel is used in different situations he didn't get it, i think you lost it when he brought my  wife into the picture after i made a Joke her eyeballing it suspiciously, even though she bought a good deal of it as birthday and Christmas gifts through the years. My biggest problem now is remembering what I have, i have the same issue with tools.

Yeah I just have a few hooks in the support beam in the basement, and a boot dryer.

Actually that reminds me, I should go down and get my coat off the hook.  It's been there since the last rain/snow storm.

The rack is awesome Joe.  The old owner of my house was a woman who loved clothes so I have a hanger bar downstairs with striker suits, waders and jackets.

As far as the plugs go.  I use to drive hours to winchendon mass to learn from one of joes diciples.  One who was clearly taught well.  I havent spoke with Jimmy in years.  I have used almost every design joe created.  Caught bass on all of them.  Reverse atom 40, jointed eel, stubby blurple metal lip were some of my favorites.  I lost all my jointed eels hooking stripers in one of RI's breachways in waves to large to land them.  If I brought some to sw ledge things would happen!
