went to promisland yesterday by pickerel point. walked out about a hundred yards and had good solid ice about 6 inches but on each side of me there was open water so you have to be very careful. anyway between my buddy and me we had about 30 gills a few perch and a couple of bass. and with this warm up its not going to last this week anyway. if you do go stay in the back like snow shanty where it might be a little safer.
