I asked Santa for a new hub for me and the boys since the Almanac called for a long frigid winter.  Now every long range forecast and model is calling for above average, anti-ice fishing weather starting around new years...I hope they're wrong but it's not looking good for 23.  My wife asked me who pissed in my Cheerios this morning...she just doesn't get it ha

You guys are lost. If you read and pay attention to the forecast that far in advance I’m sorry.
Everyday the outlook improves. Right now I’m thinking about Monday. Be some local ice then. May not last thru the weekend but hey crazier things have happened.

Lost? I'm just disappointed because the forecasts are not favorable for the season I was hoping for.  I have no doubt there will be some quality ice this week, but it won't last.  all the long range forecast ate bleak. Merry Christmas

If we are on anywhere by Christmas it's a good year.  With all the snow this early, lots of lakes just waiting for a couple days like this. Really good week for building ice.  Keeping it positive! Sure, I've been on much earlier,  but we're gonna get on when we get on and it will all be worth it then.
