rank these trout lakes
« on: Nov 25, 2006, 11:20 AM »
I am targeting some new waters for trout(bows, browns & brookies) this winter season.  Please rank the following lakes on a scale of 1-10. A 10 being that you have caught your limit more than once. A 1 being you have never caught a thing.

Lake Luzerne
Trout Lake
Brant Lake
Lake Eaton
Paradox Lake

I would give Paradox an 8, brant lake an 8, Trout lake a 3, and Lake Luzerne a 7. I've never fished Eaton, so I can't help you there.

interesting that "trout" lake gets such a low rating
sort of ironic.....

In my opinion all the waters you have listed are decent fisheries...but as they say, timing is everything. ;) As far as the brookies go I don't think you will find many or any at all in those waters.

yes its a big lake most dont realize but it comes close to the king, as for a place to start is ruff, you pretty much have to put your time inn. dont get discouraged like most because the lake is capable of producing some monsters , other than trout too

How many times did you go last year ??? Silly question but were you on the hardwater ??? I went camping up there this summer and skunked as well using only clear wobblers and trout worms.  :'(
I am holding out hope, I heard there is some nice trout in that lake 8)
