When fishing up to northern lakes, this early one needs to be aware of the early fluff snow and how it slows down the ice make up . the pressure cracks will let water seep up causing slush in many un expected places, also lakes were low in nov. and rising water all winter will make slush and thin ice common around shores. pressure ridges will start to form on windy direction changes. In shallow narrows areas between larger lakes currents will prevent ice from forming as thick as high water. All the caustion possible is necesary this time of year. Please stay safe .
No ive not heard on Chamberlain. but up at Caribou Chesuncook over 3' of fluff last week no packed trails and have had many flurries since . Trees down everywhere carry a saw.
Casco raymond area small Ponds people were seen out on ice everywhere. Hope they dont wander out to far from shore without a canoe or big jet sled with them.
I almost went up to jig Parker pond, But no oil for me this year .Keeping woodstove hot.

I didn’t realize there were so many crappies in Maine until watching some of those Joe Holland videos. I don’t think I’ve caught any in all of the smallmouth bass trips I’ve done. Are the crappie mostly just in the far Western part of the state like Fryeburg area?
Haha nah they’re everywhere
heard they are as far north as Millinocket. source wouldnt tell me specific lake though.
