MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
Yes it was very slow this weekend I was able to ice (2) small walleyes (1) small pike . U could see them very tight to the bottom if u jigged aggressive they would book it off . U could bring them up slowly they would touch the lure but not bite and slowly slink away along the bottom.
Talked to couple guys on Saturday and they mentioned that they saw a lot of fish floating during the summer. As I don't fish the Strap during open water can anyone confirm this?Evans road was a good 8 inches...other areas had ice that was 6 to 8 inches.
Well finished up with deer hunting and went out for the 1st time on Saturday...tried two spots and only caught 9 small throw back perch. Went out again today and started at Evans Road...2 1/2 hours....one small perch and one other bite. Moved in front of the ski hill for a little over a hour...not one bite...moved in front of the beach area for another good hour....not one bite. Drilled over 60 holes in total and really moved around each area.........what happened to the fish?Talked to couple guys on Saturday and they mentioned that they saw a lot of fish floating during the summer. As I don't fish the Strap during open water can anyone confirm this?Evans road was a good 8 inches...other areas had ice that was 6 to 8 inches.
Nice one. Congratulations 👍👍
Nice Wally Rip, how many trips onto the ice this year so far
Hey CR,Heard from multiple people there was a large winterkill from this past winter. People are expecting perch numbers to be down. On a side note, this may improve walleye and pike catches this winter, as there will be less feed in the lake. Just anticipate slower days or really focusing on those bite windows.
