Waterbury

I was wondering how sloppy the ice is at Waterbury reservoir after this weather, or if anyone has any other updates about the ice quality?

Ice was perfectly dry with only an inch or 2 of powder on top.  Bite was slow but started picking up the closer we got to having to leave. A handful of decent perch were kept.  We set up in 38fow, which in hindsight may have been a little deeper than necessary.

It may be different now, but last week I went out at dusk to smelt and noticed they lowered the water level by 4-5 ft, the first 20 yards off the boat access (dam side) was like walking on a pool cover. Even that Game Warden who came out later was skeched,  100 yards out was solid and 14"
