That’s back when they had the problem but if you use the good blades the drill is the same.

Update!

Swapped the blades that came with it... tried it last week on ice that was about 5-6 inches and it ripped!!! Not as quick at my 6" Nils but it was dope!!! Crazy light.

Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward to using mine in a few weeks.

Don't toss the blades either but take them to a prof sharp shop. They can redo the angle and you can have a like new backup set for a fraction of the cost. That bad batch they had the angle was wrong and why they didn't cut. Funny that was from a ways back and you would think should be gone. Good reminder to still check if your Eskimo doesn't cut well. Proper ones cut like buuta.

Yup, go spend $40 to get them redone or $25 to get new ones. Toss the old one and get over it, they gave you the right ones.

At that price I would find another sharp shop. I have never paid more than $10 or[ $15 to sharpen blades. That's CDN too I bet in the U.S. its way less. Have 2 sets do you can swap out quickly.

They are not dull, just the wrong blades. Pitch I think but regardless just toss the bad ones. They never promised 2 sets.
