The structure at Pointview are milk crates that were fastened together. Dropped aqua-vu on top of them, some gills and a few perch.

Perch,
I am not a very frequent icefisher on DCL but have been a few times. I think the bluegills there are like bluegills most everywhere. They typically relate to vegetation. I have seen some caught way out in 40-50 ft but most are caught in less than 20 ft where the weeds are. Mostly in the coves and creek arms. I think McHenry Cove might be a good place to try for gills based on what I've heard from others.

Can anyone tell me if there are Pickeral, Norhtern Pike, and I saw there are Walleye, is the Eye population decent. I will be trying to fish this lake this year, I just want an idea of what I am getting into.

Probably one of the best fisheries south of the Mason-Dixon line. Jumbo perch and gills and the the walleye and pike population are very healthy in this lake. A whole 6 degrees this morning and I can see ice in Mchenry cove on the web cam.

Fished Cherry a few times last year, mostly for easy access and good ice. Only one jumbo perch tho'
Hope to see some you out there this year, planning on trying some other spots...
