Anyone out on Squantz before/during/after the storm?
Hoping for an update on ice thickness.
Thanks!

I heard people were on it. I may go Sunday to put in tip ups and ride my snowmobile. Fortunately, the lack of a winter bite there will allow me to burn a lot of gas on this fresh snow. Not ofythat I get to use my snowmobile. Lol

The only time I fish there in the winter when the snowmobile trail is open.
If you can't play nice, get off the ice!

I went by Saturday,   Water was very low and guys in the little first bay huddled in middle .   Nobody in open part of lake near state beach.  Looked like open water and sketchy ice.

Lots of trails up in the hills. How we do both?

I was out there yesterday for a little bit. There was 10inches of ice. Like previously stated they drained a bunch of water out of both squantz and candle wood.

Was on Squantz through the snow on Sunday.  Really slow, only one small perch to show for the effort.

Fished it for 4 hours yesterday with a friend. No flags and nothing jigging. Would have liked to head to the north end of the lake but too hard walking. A lot of areas where you push through the snow into six inches of water and slush. Hopefully, that firms up by the weekend.

I've been there only at night.  It's been nice to avoid the crowds and the fish know there's no one out there too.  I guess people are afraid of the dark...aside from the people who consume drugs in the start park parking lot.  Lots of those.
