Just donated my third phone to the fishing gods last weekend! Damn pike on a little jiggin rod! He hit and down it went!

The only thing I have lost down an ice hole is two ice rods but luckily was able retrieve one of them with the 22 inch rainbow still attached.
Keys stay in the truck.  Phone, if not left in the truck, is on a lanyard tucked in an inside shirt pocket.
