If ice fishing is a big priority in life you gotta move to N MN or ND. We’ve had a great year. 2 ft of ice but it’s been warm (above 0) so you can actually enjoy it.

My friend sent me the video today, rather interesting thinking of a raccoon for a pet. Kind of alike a more interactive dog.

Raccoons are rabies magnets. The kits look cute but the adults can be very scary. Great video though.

The boars get mean when they get old. I had one at one time and the little guy caused a near riot on Bourbon St. when people found out what his name was.

Had a buddy in high school who had a kit for a pet. Darn thing was meaner than a rattlesnake when it grew up. It'd bite ya just for the sheer meanness of it...

friends had one when I was a kid. you give them a sugar cube and watch them wash it in water bowl trill it dissolved. lol they couldn't figure out where it went.

My sister brought me home one. Mother was dead on the road this was the only little one still alive. Easily trained to a litter box and would follow me around everywhere. She would love wrestling with the cat, but didn't like the dog. As she got older she would spend more and more time out side under the neighbor's cottage and only come scratching at the sliding glass door when she was hungry. She got big and we saw less and less of her. She came back with a big cut on here rear foot pad one night and I cleaned it and rubbed some antibiotic in the wound. Then we didn't see her for almost 6 months. I remember one night watching TV with my mother and she yells , There's a big raccoon out side on the porch with a bunch of little ones. We gave her some dog food and we were curious to find out if it was her; she was some what friendly. I went outside with some grapes and she came up to me and would grab one out of my hand, growl, eat it and come back for another one. Well, I had to find out if it was her. I grabbed some heavy welding gloves and got her close enough and grabbed her and " Holy cow It was her!!!!!!!" she had the big scar on her back foot. She had 4-5 little ones with her, but they wouldn't come that close. Super cool pets, but they won't let you forget that they are wild. Never saw her again..... that was 30 years ago. Time flies.

Love the video! My GF sent me that this weekend. Thanks for the updates about them growing up. I was pretty intrigued about rescuing one if it would get along with the cat. But since they seem to get meaner as they get older, maybe I'll just let that dream go.

Anyone know if gray squirrels or fox squirrels get mean when they get older?
