First Iced Rock Bass
« on: Sep 28, 2006, 12:29 PM »
Ok since none of the MIRC members have iced a rock bass we need to come up with some type of door prize for the first one to do it this year.

Possibly a rock bass mug, or a pillow?

I've never caught a rock bass through the ice either.  I've been ice fishing since I was old enough to walk and never done it.

They must go really deep.   I'm gonna turn my rock bass honey holes into swiss cheese this year until I get one.

sounds good to me.  We'll prolly have to access on the east side near those offices you let me in on.
That 400 hp dock aerator will keep the launch area open or unsafe all winter.

Ponticrack lake freezes pretty quick too.  But if you want to eat fish don't go there.

Unless, by some chance, something went wrong with the aerator  >:D ;)2

believe I would love to have something go wrong with that aerator.  Maybe one of these late night rock bass excursions something may just happen to it.

A rogue rock bass should take care of the problem.

it was wierd..it didnt seem to effect it early in the winter..but when it finally got really really cold magicly the water all opened up....its still nowhere near as bad as that aerator on lake "Y". that kept most of the lake open last year.

fish the rockies deep in the winter near night fall.  I pick them up occassionly walleye fishing one of my local walleye ponds.  They bend the jigging stick over pretty good, for a second or two..
