Sounds good to me, We are going to need a Capital building, for politics. Now how about a motel, barber shop, police station, town tavern, publick restrooms, bait shop, and lets not forget a sign [ ice fishing only}. All leading to annual pike fest were a grand trophy is awarded to the best ice shanty in Maine. Wow, I love to dream. sorry guys, but you know this could be done easily. I think.  ::)

actually, with the new route 9 exit off the maine turnpike only 2 miles from the lake, average ride for most people will be an hour or so......sebago area, biddeford/saco, and even farmington are all a reasonable drive. Red Fin...you could be at sabattus lake in about an hour and a half, weather permitting.

I think it'd be an awesome idea to have a little village going on for the winter......my shanty would definately open to anyone without a shack that wanted to make a day trip out of it...

fshnfool,  the new watering hole is not the yellow shack.  Its the "BLUE GOOSE".  The cheapest place to get a beer in town.  We just need to work on the parking situation.

Tom
