Found a couple inches and some dinks but great to be on ice

Same here about 2.5" solid ice. But the fish weren't too cooperative and ran on the small side! I cleaned and ate 10 gills and 2 perch. As said great to be on the hard water, while it lasts. Forecast doesn't look good, hope they're wrong. Later Hex

Ice was about 2.5 to 3" and solid this morning. But the bite was still tough today. I was sight fishing most of these and they were just mouthing the jig rather than inhaling it, other than the perch they grabbed it and ran like they stole it. Fished from 8:00 to 10:00 am might have done better earlier but who knows! Good to get out! Hex

Are you fishing K county Hex? I had to work today and didn’t get out. I Was wondering if the ice would still be good for tomorrow morning? I’ve just been out on channels

I am and am also on a channel. I think the ice faired pretty well yesterday and will be good tomorrow morning but it's going to warm up so beware and use your spud! I'm looking at 25 degrees at 12:20 am so it should still be making ice! Later Hex

Fish bit better this morning. Fished 8:00 to 10:00 am and they quit when the sun came out. Ended up with 15 nice gills and 6 mediocre gills. Ice started to bounce alittle and the fish weren't doing much so I rapped it up. Was a nice morning and great to be on the hard water. Here's a picture of some of the better gills! Hex

I had to do some last minute shopping with my wife so I didn’t go today. Looks like it will be a couple more weeks for me. I did get to try out a couple new things I got for this season in those couple days on ice.
