Thought so...very nice!  Agreed, much better ice options elsewhere right now.  And it's always nice to get away from the metro area for peace and quiet!

Yes it's Keyhole Reservoir, east of Moorcroft, Wyoming. That would be an exceptional day on Boysen.
Freakin' Greenies won't even share where to fish in Wyoming with their own kind.

Well, there you go, best crappie hole in Wyoming is Keyhole, now all ya gotta do is drive 6 or 7 hours.

That why go far away and fish, then no one will say you hiding the lake or spot,,will fish at Boysen this week, Then Cascade or Kansas what ever is ice up first,

dbad, it’s been on my list for a couple of years now.  I love the multi-species opportunities that the lake offers.  Drive time is never an obstacle to me, love seeing the countryside.

Ive put a gawdafwul number of miles on my vehicles driving all over wyo.  10-15 years a go, I only bought a Wyo fishing license not a colorado one.

Aint so much heaven when the wind howls for 3 straight days but you dont notice it when pulling in large fish.

When i just start fishing in KS,,i put 60k miles on my truck just for drive to KS,, We love to far away is so relax away from everything,,just couple good buddy lot of beer and fishing is good,, we got to sleep more when we go fishing then stay home😀

Multi-day road trips to KS are good for binge drinking!  The fishing there ain't bad either. 

Couple of questions: 
1)  You put 60K miles on your truck in 1 year?
2)  What size can of Heineken is that in your picture?  I don't recognize the proportions.  A couple of years ago, I thought slayerfish was posting kiddie sized Gatorade bottles next to his perch...  But I don't know much about Gatorade bottles.  I have seen a few cans of beer in  my life.

Just a regular can of heineken,, i think we drink more then we fish,, you fish at glen elder to right? There another lake in Ks will ice up before Glen that have good crappie,,

People still fishing on boat at Kirwin,,crappie are biting,, i fish there couple week ago,, caught crappie,walleye,,big flat head catfish 30lb plus

60K miles is 88 round trips to Kirwin.   
That's a lot of crappie. 

If you limit out, two days fishing each trip --- that's 8,800 crappie.

i don’t know kirwin have big flathead until this fall, my buddy hook up 1 is big but it pull and broke 2 of the treble hook, in Oct we got in to big crappie there,
