Brussels sprouts, garlic, peas give me a break I eat baby white perch for appetizers.
There’s ONE benefit to living close to Boston...we still have a foot or more of snow on our garden! May be able to plant by Memorial Day if we’re lucky! Of course that’s for tomatoes and cukes...love to try some Brussels sprouts! My favorite!
And that might be the only advantage , we actually had more snow the last 2 storms , but the day time temps have been warmer.I spread 12 cubic yards of pete, 12 gallons of compost cow dung, and 15 gallons of fire place ash, rottotilled it all in.. the biggest thing I find with Brussels sprouts is pest control and lots of sun,if you don't keep them sprayed the cabbage worms donation number on them.
