Sorry for the cryptic post earlier. My phone died, could not post. So here is my report. Trip to st clair was cancelled due to work.
Went to lake chemung for a few hours. Little to no slush, roughly an inch of water on the ice. Ice was clear black ice, ranging from 8-11 inches (where I was, I was hearing about thin ice to the west).
I hole hopped for a while until a nice guy with a vexilar hooked me up with a spot, then it was game on. Caught 12 nice gills, in 20 FOW. Waxxies and orange and black and waxxies white bladded tear drops were the order of the day. Although there was a kid there who was on fire with a firetiger tungsten and a waxxie
