Matlock...Tues. + Wend.

Well...went to Matlock. First Tuesday. Lines in at 6:30 am....6:35 I have my first Walleye on the ice. Highlight of the day...jigging two rods side by side. Double header walleyes !!! I caught 14 walleye from 6:30-8:30 then it died. Biggest was 19" and I caught three of them (released).

I decided to drill by the crack....some days your just happy with a 3hp, Right up to the motor...


Bit more mud at the end of Chalet Beach Rd than I remembered..


Onto todays report...

I thought I would head out a bit eariler today. So as I drive around in circles in the dark trying to find my holes from yesterday, I decided to drill new holes....14' of water...yesterday I was in 6'. No fish but with the dawn comes the realization that I'm not even at the right ridge. So much for getting out early. Find my old holes...drop jig down...fish on before it makes it to the bottom. Only 10 fish total today. 6 eater size...2-22", 1-24", 1-26". Brought home four little stinkers for fry pan.

well kiddies...that concudes another wonderful fishing season in Manitoba  :D  Bring on the water !!!!!

Definatly a great 2 days of walleye fishing Ac. They are really turned on in your area.

Thats pretty neat to catch walleye with a rod in each hand, how do you decide wich one to go for first, and how do you secure your rod so it don't take a plunge. :D

I hope you are as sucessful during the open water season. :)

Way to go Ac. Nice pics. Have you ever fished with blue igloo before? Just wondering because that first pic of you reminds me of blue igloo going for a crappie. Similar stance ;D Nice tan tells everyone you have been fishing hard. :thumbsup: :bow:
