Fly the Team Iceshanty Flag! Iceshanty Proshop
Good story Mow. Some days just don't go right, but still better than working. Is that your house pretty much straight off the launch? Hoping to be on the lake with the new shanty this weekend. Thinking off Cliff Island.
This laker was LOADED...never saw a belly so packed with small smelt and some larger shiners.
Lovevthevstory, thanks for sharing, tittle catchy too!
Lol! I didn’t think you’d mind me “borrowing” your great line!
Mowbizz, This is my second year ice fishing so forgive me for a basic question but what do you use for “chum”? I love reading all the stories and such on here
Excellent post mobizz! Pretty busy day and awesome catch. Congrats and thanks for sharing, team effort and a great story forever. That trout was loaded, a pig. Sorry to hear about the big one being lost apparently your in a good spot. Sorry to hear about your camera cable. I made something i can show you to prevent that from happening (been there, done that) made out of pvc. That suxs. Great day in the end. No one got hurt(?), everyone went home and you got a story of life. Pretty cool.
Just wondering; Haven't seen or heard anything about the Newfound Derby. Is there going to be one?
Hi all. I’ve been lurking on this thread for a couple weeks reading the chatter. My friends and I are visiting the area next weekend for the Meredith rotary derby. Going to be positioned up in the northwest corner of Newfound. Any info I can gather about ice conditions would be much appreciated. Last year there was quite a bit of snow and the 4 wheelers were mostly useless. Still a big layer of water under the crust? How much snow? Thanks in advance!
