got out today

Got out for a few hours today with Bigspurs for what is looking like one of the last times for lakers this season.  We only managed to get one nice one (released), they were not very aggressive today. It was +2f this morning, and there was 10-12" of ice were we were, but you can tell by looking at the ice that the next time it gets warm it is going to go fast.  Here's a few pics

Nice fish!  Not looking for your fishing hole but where about were u?  I live in Mass but frequent Old Forge often and was wondering if there was any safe ice up there.  Like the way you dealt with losing big fish at the hole.  What size auger were u using?
